Fun!: Create a Wordle. Here's how:

Wordle.net is a great tool for creating word clouds or mosaics, like the one at the top of this page). To create a Wordle cloud:

  1. Go to wordle.net, and click Create.
  2. In the text box, paste or type in the terms you want in your word cloud. Although each word you enter will appear only once in your cloud, the size of the word gets bigger for each time you repeat it in your typed text.
  3. If you want words to “stick together” and be treated as a single word, insert a ~ in between them. For example: Romantic~Age.
  4. Click Go.
  5. Once the word cloud appears, have fun adjusting the Font, Layout, and Color options until you have a cloud image you like.
  6. Print or save your image.

To save your image:

o   On a PC, use Alt+Print Screen, then paste into Paint or any other image editing software to crop.

o   On a Mac, you can use Cmd+Shift+4 to save your image as a .png file.
