The Library Club

The Library Club helps to support our Mira Costa school library programs and plans and participates in book discussions. The club meets in the library workroom during lunch on Tuesdays. New members are always welcome.

Since Fall of 2011, our club has participated in a partnership with several other library clubs across the country to participate in virtual book discussions. This group, the "Somewhat Virtual Book Club," has experimented with Skype, Google + Hangouts, and Blackboard Collaborate as a meeting platform. The clubs were delighted to have the authors join the discussion when they read Shine by Lauren Myracle and Beauty Queens by Libba Bray.
